Witty.

I have to agree, but my experience is with a customer who develops in Microfocus COBOL and wanted to store datafiles on an NFS share (actually exported from a Netware server). His rationale was than Netware hard disk space was far cheaper (and he was feeling poor) than the extortionate prices asked by ICL for a hard disk for his DRS6000.

Needless to say it didn't work very well at all, with countless lock errors and terrible performance. Unreliable to boot.
