I built an Excel spreadsheet to estimate index sizes, based on Kevin Loney's suggested method in his book "Oracle DBA Handbook". I worked well for primary/unique indexes, but was way short for indexes that had a lot of duplicates. His model does not account for duplicates at all. Otherwise, it was pretty accurate.
