My only experience with EMM386 and Oracle has been with old DOS based tools, but still... I've come across several instances where Oracle software barfs if you specify exceptions (X=...) when you load EMM386. These problems always went away when I removed all command line arguments from my CONFIG.SYS entry. Might be worth a try if you have a "busy" EMM386 command line.
