Re: Do you use Compuserve for Oracle?

My problem is that I can't access SUPREQ nor RTSS, nor (I suspect the COMPUSERVE forum). For SUPREQ I need a CSI and a CPU_ID number. Despite being on metal support, which nominally allows us to access the above tools, Oracle Malaysia has stated that Malaysian customers (with or without metal support) can't have CSI numbers. This basically means we can't access SUPREQ and probably the other Oracle support services :-(

RTSS: Oracle Malaysia says they will be setting up local access to RTSS "some time in the future" :-(

Another thing, several times I had delays in resolving problems with Oracle Malaysia customer support because the US based bug database was down for regular backup. While it is probably the dead of night in the US, here on the western half of the Pacific Rim, it is normal working hours. Doesn't US Oracle Customer Support know how to do "hot" backups? :-J
