I found in the Oracle 7 Release Notes a note about a warning that the oracle install may have a problem building the control files. I remembered getting such a warning during the install. I took the steps outlined there, Delete wdblog1.ora, wdblog2.ora and ctl1.ora if they exist. Then start SQL*DBA. Then run _at_c:\orawin\dbs\install2.sql. This did indeed fix the problem and all is now working. Received on Mon Jun 05 1995 - 00:00:00 CEST
