Absolutely. It just takes a little more experience. If the database is
laid out correctly, you should see a performance gain(Mileage may vary
depending on actual use). In fact, if your using Oracle Parallel Server,
you must use raw disks. One important consideration, is how you plan to
backup and restore the database.
