In tiny Switzerland we have a already large and fast growing customer base that is using the SAP R/3 software on Alpha AXP systems running OSF/1 and using Oracle as database. Given that you usually don't base the software your enterprise runs on, on something you're not sure that is stable and supports mission/critical computing (wow, what a mktg term :-) i allow myself (biased) to claim that OSF/1 on Alpha AXP very successfully runs Oracle .
