Just started to do some 7.1.3 testing.
Found a strange problem today that sqlldr seemed
to cause when invoked with the parallel/file command line
options :
- tablespace with three data files on raw slices
- run 3 loader processes in background 1 for each data file, parallel, direct
- drop the table from the tablespace
- drop tablespace including contents
--> ora-00600 internal error
after checking sys.seg$ i find three temp segments. one per each file. these segments did not deallocate. worse yet ... the user who invoked sqlldr had a temp db file assignment to a normal temp file! not sure what the temporary segments were even doing there. since i am in a testing mode i tried to shutdown. it also produced a series of ora-00600's.
has anyone else seen this problem ? i am running on ncr svr4 2.2.0. i have heard that 7.1.4 is coming/already available. maybe that will fix the problem(s)!
Thanks,
