We are running a large Oracle application, where large is defined as a 15 GB database, 1000 users (100 concurrently), and growing. It is a client-server architecture with multiple Sun 630, Sun Sparc10, and Sun Sparc20 systems (running SunOS 4.1.3) as the Oracle clients. We are interested in user experiences with Unix database servers running Oracle Version 7.

We have been in touch with the vendors, but we would like to hear from some users running similar applications. We would like to hear about your experiences with performance, compatibility with Oracle, Operating System stability, and vendor support.

If you don't mind sharing your experiences, please e-mail directly to me (lhutt_at_relay.nswc.navy.mil). I'll summarize to the net if there is sufficient interest. Thanks in advance.
