in regards to Ecotools, our experience has been both positive and negative -- if you want to monitor small networks its fine -- we tried to use eco to montior a thirty machine network in a half dozen states -- that turns out to be a disaster! -- yes eco pages you -- for no reason half the time -- we were told that if we wanted to poll each machine every five minutes this was unreasonable! Once an hour was what support told us would be realiable --I suggest that anyone considering any of these tools (DBvision, patrol, Eco) understand what bounds each company will admit that there tool works in.

We are currently evaluating patrol -- no luck with eco or dbvision (we have a site license for eco and we're still looking -- that should tell ya something!)
