HELP !! I have a form that executes a host shell script that runs a SQL script to produce a report on KEY-COMMIT.
The problem is that the report takes a while to run and I would like to inform the user that it is running when they commit the form, currently it just sits there until the report has finished.
I have tried a :-
MESSAGE ('Running Report - Please Wait ...');
statement before the host call in the KEY-COMMIT Trigger, but as far as I can see FORMS has to process the whole PL/SQL block (including Host call) before writing to the screen as the message appears when the host call has finished !
Can anyone HELP ?
