What sort of successes have people had with online backups of an Oracle instance to tape?
What does V7.1 OBRU (Oracle Backup and Restore Utility) bring to the table?
Lastly, what have you heard about Oracle V7.1 OBRU and Legato? What have you seen?
Overall, our desire is to backup the database with less downtime to the user. Currently, we shutdown Oracle, and backup the tablespace files.
