need help with oracle image table

   I'm in the early stages of building a large database using oracle. Among the many tables I need to build, is the image table. This will contain roughly 6 or 7 thousand images. Right now, the graphics are stored in Corel's *.CDR format. I also have an *.EPS for each.

The questions are:
1. How should the images be stored? CDR or EPS? Other?

   If the answer is other, is there software that can do batch conversions?

2. Is there a PC-based front end that can display either of these formats?
