The system Id is the SID or the System Identifier that was used when creating the Oracle database on the other end. (i.e. IF YOU WHERE ON A UNIX BOX YOU WOULD TYPE echo $SID in an oracle account to see the identifier.)
I am assuming that you need this as part of your connect string.
