Currently we are running:

          SQL*Forms 4.0 for Windows
          Run*Form 3.0 for Windows
          SQL*Plus 1.1 for Windows
    on top of
          DOS 6.2, 6.0 and a few on 5.0
Novell Netware Shell 4.x (The VLM version)
          Windows for Workgroups 3.11
          SQL*Net IPX/SPX for Windows (it's the 1.x version)

We also run an NDIS packet driver for TCP/IP services.

I'll admit there are a few tricks here and there but it is certainly doable and is quite stable. I can supply the exact versions and configuration files if anyone is interested.

BTW, I've been contacted several times by Oracle asking about how we did this set-up so it's quite possible your Oracle rep truely does not know it is currently possible. (What a surprise).
