Hi,

I am trying to configure an HP-9000/847 (HP/UX 9.04) SQL*Net V2.

I have set up the '/etc/listener.ora' file correctly and also registered 'tnslsnr' as a service in NIS on port 1521. Infact I have followed the same approach on another machine and had no problems. The only difference is that the server version on this machine is 7.0.12... and the version on the other machine (the one that worked) is 7.0.13...

The listener does not start and all the log file says is that a timeout occurred. So I turned on the trace with the 'ADMIN' option and what follows is a section of the trace file which I believe is the relevant section. I don't know how to interpret this.

Can anyone help out?
