Just found a possible bug. Has anyone else came accross similiar problems:

Situation, Oracle 7.0.15.... running under OpenVMS 1.5-1H1 on an Alpha 3000/600S.

Using DEC Pathworks Version 4.0.12 or Pathworks version 5.0.2x and Oracles DecNet Dos version 1.0.2..

(Sorry about the incomplete versions, I do not think it is relavent to the problem)

Using MS Access 1.1 running under windows 3.1 on a 486DX complete with 16MB ram.. Access is able to create invalid database objects.
<note, windows is running in standard mode, as this is DECNET Dos)

If I grant DBA privilige, or resource priv to myself I can create the following tables note case and spaces.

 Guys Test
Field One
 Field Two
...

^this is column one...

It is a pain in the neck trying to delete these mixed case / spaced objects.

Am I missing something obvious?

Please forward your replies to either:
loucksg_at_engsyd.bhp.com.au or ukloug_at_resmel.bhp.com.au I will summarise and repost.

I am also sending off a note to Oracle support.

Thanks,
