We are interested in chatting electronically with other fairly large Oracle users about support issues. We've had some problems because our contract was somewhat non-conformist in that we had so many cpus licensed that it was unmanageable to deal with CSI numbers each time so we were given a CSP number. Time has passed and now we have to re-explain this concept every time we ask for support. The latest was (three levels into escalation) that we needed to declare our entire account Solaris before we could get the latest Solaris version, but we still have Sun 4.x machines. You get the picture.

We're trying to figure out if our experiences are the exception or the rule. Please send messages to rlf21_at_cas.org if you're interested in starting a dialog on this topic, would like to share some of your experiences, or just want to vent.

Thanks for your support support!
