Hi,

We have an Oracle V6 system based on sql*forms 3, sql*menu 5 and report writer 1. I am trying to write make files to generate the apps for these.

I have hit a problem with menus. The genmenu50 command generates the menu from the dictionary - not from the <menu>.sql file. I need to load the <menu>.sql file into the dictionary (with sql*plus) and then issue the genmenu50 command.

The problem is that I can not figure out how to delete the old version of the menu from the dictionary before I load the new one. There appears to be a similar problem with reports.

Does anybody out there use make files to build thier oracle applications????? And if so how do you generate the different types of programs from the command line?????

Thanks,

alan
