Could someone state what the working stack is like with the ODBC driver. As in:

            PC Unix Server
User_pgm [access] [Oracle]
            [Windows] [SQLNet]
driver [ODBC] [TCP]
driver [winsock] [Unix]
driver [vendor_board] |
hardware [NIC] [NIC]
                \---------------------------/

So if someone could update this, like is SQLNet needed on the PC, or what other part is missing. I have limited understanding of the PC end as all of my stuff is normally on the Unix end.
