I pressume the Q + E product still requires SQL*Net. I'm very confused about the requirements for client server development in Oracle.

Perhaps I'm not alone.

Could someone tell me what is required to develop clients on VB3 (and VC++)?

If I have the ODBC pack that comes with VB3Pro, do I have an Oracle driver? I preumably also need the SQL*Net DLL on the clients and SQL*Net running on the server (a SUN Sparc10)

Is there anyway to avoid SQL*Net ?
