PRO*C - demo makefile

Has anybody had this when running the supplied makefile?

ld: warning: option -YP appears more than once, first setting taken
ld: fatal: file samplec.c: unknown type, unable to process using elf(3E) libraries
ld: fatal: File processing errors.  No output written to samplec

*** Error code 1

I would be VERY grateful for any suggestions as to where I have so horribly offended the linker.
