Depending on the TCP/IP software you are using you need to load a TSR before starting Windows. For example, for ftp, inc's PC/TCP package you need to load the TSR mftp.exe and if you are using Beame & Whiteside you must load mbw.exe. Other TCP/IP packages are supported through DDL's. The purpose of the TSR or DLL is (I think) to interface between the TCP/IP package, SQL*Net and ODBC. Anyway, it works for PC/TCP and B&W.
