PowerBuilder v3.0 Performance

I was quite happy with the performance of PowerBuilder v2.0a against our Oracle7 database on our Sun, where queries returning lots of information are 5-6 times faster than from Access. But I've heard that PowerBuilder v3.0 uses ODBC. Does anyone have experience with it? How is the performance against Oracle databases? How does performance compare against PowerBuilder v2 performance.
