installing v7 on AIX

Jenny:
Do you have Async IO enabled/turned on (whatever)? This gets done from within SMIT as root. Also, I heard thru the grapevine that there have been some problems with the install routine adding kernel extension to the inittab file. This may cause your problem as well.
