installing v7 on AIX

Hi,
We just installed Oracle v7.0.12 to run under AIX; however, when I
try bringing up the server, I get the following error message:
Could not load program oracle
Symbol shmprot in oracle is undefined
Error was: Exec format error
Does anyone know whether the problem is in the installation or whether I didn't set up the paths correctly? Please e-mail me your response.
