Hi,
I have a question regarding EXTERNALLY option in creating a role such as,
SQL> CREATE ROLE MANAGER IDENTIFIED EXTERNALLY; when your database users are identified by OPS$username which allows the users to log into the database as "/".
In the manual,
EXTERNALLY: The operating system verifies the user enabling to the role. Depending on the operating system, the user may have to specify a password to the operating system when enabling the role.
What is the relationship between EXTERNALLY and OPS$ when creating roles?
Thanks in advance.
