ORACLE7's Snapshot

Does anyone have any information about ORACLE7's Snapshot feature? I was able to find limited discussion on it in Koch's book "ORACLE7 - The Complete Reference". Is the Snapshot locked up to one user in NOVELL Netware V3.1 environment? Or can many users access one copy of the Snapshot?
