Hi there,
Thank you to the individuals who answered my last post.
Rdb/VMS can optimize queries on both a rule and cost basis. Also it runs the optimizational stratagies to a query in parallel, so it can switch between stratagies, depending on how well each stratagy is doing.
Does Oracle do this ?
