Another library is SQL*C++ from MITI (800-366-6484 or cppgroup_at_miti.com). I haven't used it personally (I'm waiting for a macintosh version to come out) but I like what I've seen of it. One good feature is the ability to do joins in memory - which MITI claims can be "performed in a fraction of the time Oracle would take".
