Do You know PARADOX and/or SQL Link ???

Any experience with Paradox/SQL Link ???

My friend has built a database with Paradox which contains 5 (main) tables, 20 000 - 75 000 records each. There is a network (Lantastic) which provides the database for actual users.

Now he is wondering if he should change to SQL-interface to those databases (by using SQL Link).

At the moment he can use the database from two 386 (25 MHz 8/100 MB), but the database is going to be much greater in the future and he wants to hear some experiences from Paradox users with the SQL Link.

Does it slow down/speed up the query times? What advantages do You get with it? Can You give me some numerical data of it's performance (any big database examples with or without SQL Link)?
