Hello,

I'm working on a Forms app that opens an Excel spreadsheet on clicking the Extract button and displays it in an OLE container, then closes Excel. This is just for display, not any interaction with user. Then there's the Extract Headings button that opens Excel again, gets the headings, closes Excel, and loads them to a t-list. After this, the Excel sheet is just hideously distorted, as if the fonts have gone giant size (font size 50?) and all the data is written over the top of itself in one 6 character window. It's really hard to describe this, for it to be clear.

If you then hit the Display button after hitting Extract Headings, the display goes back to normal. But if you then hit the Display button again, it goes back to being distorted, as if you hit Extract. No matter how often you hit Display again, it stays weird. Hit Extract, then Display, and it's back to normal.

The Display routine uses OLE to display the sheet, then DDE to get the headings. Excel is closed after each opening, most times. Could this be the problem? Has anyone else run across anything like this?

Let me know if you need code snippets, etc.

Thanks in advance,
