Emailing from Oracle Froms with Groupwise

We are currently using Oracle Forms 5.0 and Report Builder 3.0. We are using Groupwise 5.5.2 as our email system. The database server is using Windows NT and the client is using Windows 98. I am trying to send
a report pdf attachment thru email from Forms. I used a note posted in Oracle Metalinks called Programmaticaly Sending a Fax/Email via Microsoft Exchange, which basically uses OLE. The code worked fine by putting "Novell Default Settings" in as the profile but after sending the email the sender would get an error from Windows Messaging Subsystem that the MAPI spooler had unexpectedly shutdown. From reading other people's problems, I then tried to install the complete version of Microsoft Outlook figuring that a piece was missing that I needed and that would fix the problem. However, now that Microsoft Outlook is installed the email is no longer sent, it doesn't error out, it gives a successful message but the email is not sent to the groupwise account. Now , if I uninstall Outlook I get an ora-305500 error. I can not get my system back to actually sending the email and getting the MAPI spooler error.
