I do heartily agree that it is wasting my time, but even upgrading to the latest Forms will have me working to upgrade the code behind the forms. Just to compile the code I had to go back and insert the Database_Name. in front of the Table_Name.Field format that is used throughout the code. I have no idea what else needs doing, but I'll find out as I go... and then there's the task of upgrading the database to 9i when we get the support subscription renewed...

I do have a copy of Forms version 6 that came with our 8.1.5 database software, but all the code that we have was developed in Forms 4.5 and whenever I tried to get version 6 up and running I was having troubles with it trying to "read" memory that was off-limits. So, got an older computer, upgraded win95 to win98se (maybe shouldn't have done, eh?), installed Developer/2000, off we go. Sigh.
