Importing SQL to Discoverer

The situation: I have run a canned report inside discoverer. I exported the SQL query using the SQL inspector. I then imported the same query into discoverer but I get this message - 'Error: No appropriate join found in EUL (possible missing mandatory filter in SQL).' I did add a database name infront of the tables (dbname.tablename)in the FROM statement because Discoverer could not find the tables with out the 2nd level (1st level?) of the name.
