[Quoted] I learned this today at the Quest booth at OracleWorld.

I was complaining to the Quest rep about how the whole Toad app shouldn't have to lock up during long queries & then he patiently showed me that there's a multi-threading / cancel option.

  • Go to View : Options : SQL Editor
  • Check "Process statements in threads / allow queries to be cancelled" option

While long queries run a cancel button will show that will let you cancel the query or while you can switch out to other Toad windows.

They admitted that this might be an option that they should default to on.

Apparently this feature has been in Toad for the last 3 versions. Received on Fri Nov 15 2002 - 02:10:56 CET
