Re: db hang on shutdown

Hi Ed,

I hope you will be able to find this message embedded within the "platysuff" discusion. Sometimes I run into a similar issue but under HP-UX. My database is 2 TB in size whit mixed types of transaction (OLTP/DSS). Have you tried killing the sessions before shutdown the database ? Also check on v$transaction and v$longops to see what's going on. I worked on NT long ago (7.3.3) and never experienced this issue
