I am sysadmin, who understands by force about databases. I have been asked to look at creating a dba test machine/repository with DBA tools, rman database etc. Are all of the oracle native utilites and tools ported to AIX and other platforms (such as Sun and HP)? Can we use our current install base (AIX)or do we need to move to Sun or HP. Is there a difference in oracle software and tools between the platforms. Thanks for any help.
