Don't ever misjudge your enemies; scienology has most of its power in blackmail, against some powerful people, and through all its front assocs led by people in such organizations as UN, UNESCO, CSCE etc. They have some friends here and there, and they make lots of desinformation everywhere.So, the remedy is quite simple: doing the reverse: informing people about the true nature of scientology. No impossibility there.

Besides, I'd discourage anything like those used by either MS or Oracle: spying remains spying. And trying to have a trust position is trying to destroy every concurrent.
