[Quoted] [Quoted] We're switching to a more secure remote access policy which will be using port forwarding for secure access to our data warehouse. This will require users who want to access secured data remotely to modify their tnsnames entry for the Warehouse. However, this causes a wrinkle for folks who use the Warehouse both on and off campus from the same PC (laptops, for example) -- we really need entries for the same instance with different addresses. To my knowledge, you can only have one entry for the instance in a tnsnames file. So, I was wondering if there's any clean way to do this - didn't think it was possible to have more than one valid tnsnames.ora file within the same Oracle home directory.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Amy Miller
