directly from the ftp site, ftp.oracle.com You will have the same problems though.
If you have 330Mb you are a lucky man, my download usually times out somewhere between 1 and 8 hr. My company will now copy the CD for me. My highest download rate was about 1.1 k on a 56k6 ISDN line.
