Oracle Spread Table 1.3 unstable with Forms 5.0?

Hi All.
Has anyone had any success in using the Oracle Spread Table 1.3 control with Forms 5.0? After setting it up and populating it with data it looks OK (apart from the fact that the horizontal scroll bar doesn't work). But when I start navigating around the cells with the keyboard the control starts losing data, rendering empty cells. And sometimes it loses the row numbers as well...
Any case studies, working code examples, please?
