ODBC Driver version vs MDAC version

A client of mine is wanting to upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft's Data Access Components (MDAC) for Y2K compliance reasons, but they want to know which versions of Oracle's ODBC driver (not the one that comes with MDAC) is compatible with which versions of MDAC.

Unfortunately I am not an Oracle developer and so am not familiar with this issue. Can anyone direct me to a suitable information source?
