Detail/Summary Report 3.0

I am having a heck of a time with this report using Reports 3 and it seems to me it should be knock down simple.

I have an employee table containing timecards with fields account code, staffno, hours worked, amount. I want a detail line for each employee and a sum of amount each time the account code changes

account staffno hours worked amount

 23456    74367    20             400.00
 23456    55145    10             200.00
Total for account 23456 $600.00
 34563    89675    33            1000.00
 34563    74954    18             300.00
Total for account 34563 $1300.00

etc.

I can do this in Access in seconds, but I'm new at Oracle Reports. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
