Im having a similar problem, except Ive given up on running forms with different ver of runtime. Apparently impossible. But is it possible to get runtime 4.5 (32bit) and 5 or 6 to coexist on the same client at the same time? At least I could distribute new apps and the users could continue to use the older forms. I have another developers applications that I dont have the source that my users must have access to and I have to write my apps in the older forms and reports versions for these users to have access to them.
