OAS 4.0.7 w/Apache listener version > 1.2.5?

 Ciao!

[Quoted] The various notes and docs regarding configuration of an Apache listener for use with OAS state the Apache version to use is 1.2.5. Blech. That's old [Quoted] and buggy compared to 1.3.6 of Apache that is the current release now.

Not that these sources are not correct ... 1.3.X does NOT link with the module objects included with OAS. I tried.

Does anyone know of a way to get these two versions to work together? Any rumors regarding Oracle delivering apache module objects compatible with later versions of Apache? They're way behind the curve on their perl source versions as well. It's like taking several steps back if I want to use OAS in my environment. I suppose I could only use OAS and its listeners for Oracle cartridge specific requests, and run a proxy or squid to direct other http requests to a more modern Apache server, but the resources required to run both at the same time are quite large.

Comments or discussions welcome.

Peace.
