I am looking at setting up a working application for each developer. When they wish to work on an object (ie table, plsql, script etc) they will check [Quoted] the object out to their working application. When it is finished they will check it back for verification.

A second person will verify the changes and then organise for the change to be [Quoted] moved into production.

Issues that I have to investigate before developing the procedures are :-

  • Will the security system of D2000 support this process flow - Can all repository objects be checked out this way (from tables to users to pl-sql) - [Quoted] Can the repository be used to manage non oracle objects (such as a word document) - Can the developer create new objects directly into their working application.

[Quoted] As you can see I have more questions than answers at this stage. If you can [Quoted] help be providing some insights that would be appreciated or if you are interested in being kept up to date on what I find out then let me know and I [Quoted] will post my findings here (or send you an email directly).

thanks in advance
