Designer2000 Ver2.1 and Oracle 8.0.3

Hi, I recently purchased the Designer2000 ver2.1 trial version and found out that is not compatible with
Oracle 8.0.3 and Developer2000 ver2.0 which are already installed in my computer
The Oracle technical support told me that Designer 2000 ver2.1 is only compatible with Oracle 8.0.4/7.3.4 and Developer2000 ver 2.1. Which is the Designer version compatible with 8.0.3 (Is it ver 1.3)? Can i find a trial version for that ?
Or is there a way to install Designer2000 ver2.1 and do some tricks to make it communicate with Oracle8.0.3?
