Connecting Developper 2000 & 8.0.4

Is it possible to use Developper 2.1 with Oracle client 8.0.4?

If yes, do i need something special to connect?

I can not connect, receiving error message : PDE-PUP004 Unable to connect to the specified database (ORA-3121) In the about menu i have :
Oracle Procedure Builder V2.0.2.4.0 - Production ORACLE PL/SQL V2.3.4.0.0 - Production Release Oracle Toolkit Version 2.5.6.25.0
Oracle Tools Common Area Version 2.1.0.13.0 Oracle Help Version 2.5.6.25.0
Oracle Tools Object Store Version 2.3.0.11.0 Oracle Tools GUI Utilities Version 1.3.1.9.0 CORE Version 3.5.4.0.0 - Production
