List of Values in Enter-Query Mode

I have a non-base-table field on a custom Oracle form. Associated with this field is an LOV. The LOV works fine in "normal" mode; however, when I try to open up the LOV during a query, I get this error:

available for this field while in
Enter-Query mode
I should also point out that I'm running the form in Oracle Apps. I checked the properties for this field, and "Query Allowed" is set to true.
What am I forgetting?
